EduKick’s Cannes soccer boarding school is celebrating: one of our players just made the French professional team!

Mason Hampel, age 17, was accepted into the French 3rd division professional team AS Cannes. He’ll be playing on the U18 squad while attending EduKick’s international boarding school in Cannes, France.

Mason’s journey to the French professional team began with a visit to EduKick’s soccer boarding school in Cannes, France earlier this year.

He had already attended an EduKick soccer camp before. So while Mason was visiting Europe with his family, he dropped in to tour the Cannes soccer boarding school facilities.

While Mason was on the tour, Alain Aschbasher, EduKick France technical director and AS Cannes youth sector director, invited him to try out for the AS Cannes U18 squad.

Mason arrived in Cannes on Aug. 18, ready for his first training session with the U18 squad. During his first three weeks in Cannes, Mason has taken part in several training sessions, fitness tests and friendly matches.

His performances made an immediate impression with the coaches, who have reported that they are very pleased with Mason’s application and technical ability. Mason possesses all of the attributes to be successful as a participant in EduKick’s yearlong soccer boarding schools.

In just three short weeks, his positive attitude, dedication, and willingness to learn and adapt have made him popular with AS Cannes soccer technical coaches and EduKick France staff members.
